How it all started...
Our story began in the summer of 2000, when Nancy Marroquin—a student at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary—was asked to explore whether Dripping Springs might be the right place for a new church.
Nancy saw a growing community and an opportunity to create a church where people could encounter Jesus, build meaningful relationships, and serve their neighbors. With the prayer, encouragement, and financial support of Presbyterian churches throughout the area, the new congregation was officially approved in June 2005, with Nancy serving as its organizing pastor.
On August 21, 2005, Dripping Springs Presbyterian Church gathered for its first weekly worship service. Seventy-nine people attended that day, beginning a new chapter in the spiritual life of Dripping Springs.

Putting Down Roots
During its first decade, the church worshiped in several different locations while steadily growing in faith, community, and mission.
In 2014, construction began on our permanent home on Ranch Road 12. The first worship services in the new building were celebrated on May 10, 2015, with an overflowing crowd.
As both the church and the surrounding community continued to grow, we expanded our building in 2019. The new space increased our capacity for Sunday worship, provided technology for digital ministry, and created a flexible gathering place used by our congregation and community throughout the week.
Through every season, God has faithfully provided the people, places, and opportunities needed for the church’s next chapter.

A New Name for the Next Chapter
In 2026, Dripping Springs Presbyterian Church began doing ministry under a new name: Dripping Springs Community Church.
This new name does not erase our history or signal a departure from our Presbyterian heritage. We remain a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), grateful for the churches and leaders whose faithfulness helped establish us.
Instead, the name Dripping Springs Community Church expresses more clearly the mission that has been at the heart of our congregation from the beginning: to be a church for the entire Dripping Springs community—a place where people from different backgrounds and at different stages of faith can encounter Jesus and find a place to belong.
The name is new. The church is the same. And the mission continues.

Where we are headed...

God has been faithful throughout our story, and we trust that he is not finished with us yet.
We are committed to following Jesus wherever he leads—across the street and around the world. Together, we seek to:
Gather in the presence of Jesus and in genuine community.
Grow as disciples who are becoming more like Jesus.
Go into our community and world to share his love through our words and our lives.
We live our faith with open hands and willing hearts because we do not want to miss the extraordinary privilege of joining Jesus in what he is already doing.
Our prayer for the next chapter is simple: that Dripping Springs Community Church would be a place where people are known and loved, lives are transformed, and our community experiences the hope of Jesus.
